Matrix salutes spring

Matrix Church will feature "Bloomin' Fools" and "Bee Attitudes" at 3 p.m. Sunday, in homage to spring rains and flowers.

Matrix, a high impact service for families and children of all ages, meets the first Sunday of each month in the Peninsula Christian Center behind The Salvation Army store in Soldotna. Matrix employs skits, puppets, games, prizes and surprises to spread its message. For more information, call 262-7416.

Revival set to begin Sunday

Revival services are planned for Sunday through Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Soldotna at the corner of Binkley Street and Trumpeter Avenue.

Services will be at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Revival leaders will be Levi Parish, evangelist, and Mike Proctor, music leader. Child care will be provided for infants through 4 year olds.

Kenai Aglow to meet

Georgian Kim Cain will be the featured speaker at Kenai Aglow at 7 p.m. Monday. The group meets at The Salvation Army facility on Forest Drive in Kenai. For more information, call 260-3159.

Child evangelism clubs visit schools

The Good New Clubs, sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship, will meet at various schools around the Kenai Peninsula next week.

Featuring stories, games, prizes and snacks, the clubs will meet immediately after the last bell Tuesday at Soldotna and Sterling Elementary schools and at Aurora Borealis Charter School. On Thursday, the clubs will meet at Kalifornsky Beach and Mountain View elementary schools and at Cook Inlet Academy.

Parents must provide transportation for their children following the one-hour club meetings. For more information, call Phyllis or Mike at 262-9605.

Exercise program continues

The ladies of the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant are offering a free one-hour StrongWomen exercise class at 1 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays in the education wing of the Kenai church. Participants are asked to bring a towel and hand and ankle weights, if available.

Children's Bible club offered

Sterling Baptist Church will hold a children's Bible club from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the church on the Sterling Highway at the corner of Swanson River Road. Some of the planned activities include games, prizes, Bible stories and songs.

Nikiski Aglow meeting set

Nikiski Aglow meets at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at North Star United Methodist Church at Mile 25.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway. Women may attend Bible study, prayer and worship. For more information, call 776-8022.

Clothes Quarters open

Nikiski Bible study under way

Grief support group to meet

Soldotna United Methodist Church conducts a life, love and loss support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the church at 158 S. Binkley St. Any type of loss is open for discussion in the group. Attendees are asked to bring a brown bag lunch.
