Fairbanks police investigate death of man

FAIRBANKS (AP) -- Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man who was found lying face down in the snow off Second Avenue Monday evening.
Police responded to a call at about 7:30 p.m. from a minor who discovered the body while walking behind an abandoned building downtown.
The man was wearing layers of clothing and there was no apparent trauma, investigators said.
The body was sent to the State Medical Examiners office in Anchorage for identification and to determine the cause of death.
