Runners head off to peninsula's races

Salmon will not be the only thing running on the Kenai Peninsula this summer. Pen-insula residents and visitors to the peninsula also have a number of chances to keep moving at fun runs.

The following list of fun runs comes from the 2004 Alaska Runners Calendar. Use this calendar for preliminary planning purposes only.

April 24 Polar Bear Pink Cheeks Triathlon

Place: Seward Middle-Senior High School

Start: 11 a.m.

Entry fee: TBA

Distance: 5K run, 10K bike, 900-yard swim
