Mystery tickets sold out
The Kenai Senior Center's Murder Mystery Dinner Party will be held at 7 tonight at the Kenai Senior Center. Tickets for the party have been sold out.
Church garage sale set
The Abundant Life Assembly of God church in Sterling will hold a garage sale today and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The proceeds will to toward a building fund for their new church.

Screening offered
As a part of the National Alcohol Screening Day, the Ninilchik Traditional Council's Youth Alcohol Prevention Program will offer free anonymous screening for alcohol problems starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Health Fair in Ninilchik.
Clicks for Licks planned
The second annual Clicks for Licks pet portrait benefit will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Rae's Harness Shop in Soldotna.
The event, presented by Alaska Pet-ography, raises funds for Friends of Pets while capturing portraits of dogs, cats and families. Each session costs $40, which includes an $8 donation to Friends of Pets.

Blood drive scheduled
The Blood Bank of Alaska, Kenai Peninsula Center, will hold a Ninilchik Community Health Fair blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ninilchik Fair-grounds.
Donors are urged to drink plenty of caffeine-free liquids and eat a good meal before donating.

Driving course slated
A state-approved defensive driving course will be held Sunday in room 114 at Kenai Peninsula College at 9 a.m.
The class will help those who recently have received a citation, lost points or need discounts for insurance.
Cost of the class is $51 with tax. To register, call 283-5837.
City to hold work session
The Kenai City Council will hold a work session to review FY 2001-02 draft budget at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kenai Senior Center.
The meeting is open to the public.
A copy of the draft budget is available for review in the city clerk's office at 210 Fidalgo Ave., Suite 200, in Kenai.
Senior center holds sales
The Soldotna Senior Center will hold its Trash and Treasure Sale and bake sale April 21. Tables are available for $10.

Beware of eagles
The biology staff of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is cautioning owners of small dogs and cats in the Soldotna and Sterling area to closely watch free-roaming pets.
A recent report from the Sterling area indicated a small dog was killed by several bald eagles. If eagles are observed near areas used by small pets, owners should supervise the pets when outside.
Marine guide offered to boat owners
The Marine Trades Committee of the Homer Chamber of Commerce is offering a free Boat Owners Guide to Homer. The guide is filled with information for boat owners. The features include a comprehensive list of Homer's ports, harbor facilities, services, rules, regulations, boating safety tips and marine-related numbers.
