Connections continues meetings

River issues topic for Fish and Game group
The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. April 14 at the Kenai River Center. Topics will be Kenai River issues, hunting proposals and a report by the bear issues subcommittee.

Garden brunch scheduled
The Christian Women's Club will hold a garden brunch from 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 21 at the Solid Rock Conference Center. The fee is $7 inclusive. Free child care will be provided. There will be special music by Janice Chumley, and the featured speaker will be Joanne Klaver. Her topic will be how she found her way through life's ups and downs.

Children's water safety carnival planned
The Kenai Peninsula Safe Kids will hold a water safety carnival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 8 at Soldotna Creek Park. Personal flotation devices will be available for $10 upon completion. For more information, call Jane Fellman at 714-4539.
Track and field meet entries available
The North Peninsula Recreation Service Area is registering boys and girls ages 9 to 14 for the Hershey Track and Field Meet on May 21 at Nikiski Middle-Senior High School. Entry forms are available at the Nikiski pool. The deadline to register is April 19. There is no fee. Volunteers also are needed to help with the event.
