Kenai man thanks strangers for lending hand in time of need

Posted: Monday, April 07, 2003

Please allow me to use your paper as a medium for thanking some folks, most names I do not know, for good deeds and jobs well done.

On March 19 at about 1:45 p.m., I slipped and fell in an icy area while walking across Trading Bay Drive in Kenai. I broke a hip bone and was unable to get up. A man and a woman stopped and helped me.

While walking toward me, the lady also fell down, but said she was uninjured (at least two other people also fell in the area, one of them getting a bump on her head and a sore back).

I want to thank this couple and let them know I very much apperciate their care and concern. While I'm at it, I'd like to thank all the other folks who offered assistance, all of them; and of course, the professionals at the scene, on the road and the great personnel at the hospital in Soldotna.

Thanks.
