Cliff Ryden and Valerie Crowe

Crowe, Ryden marry in Hawaii Valerie Crowe of Gibsons, British Columbia, and Cliff Ryden of Hood River, Ore., were married Dec. 29, 2000, at the home of Matt and Mary Letzring in Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii. The Rev. Janet Oliver officiated.

The bride is the daughter of the late William John and the late Elizabeth Jesse Crowe of Vancouver, B.C. She wore a white designer dress and carried tropical tuberoses and sunflowers.

The groom is the son of Alicia and Ike Morgan of Kasilof, and the late George C. Ryden. He graduated from Soldotna High School in 1985 and from Western Washington Uni-versity in Bellingham, Wash., in 1990. He is employed as a carpenter by Mama's Fish House Paia and as a wind surfer instructor and guide based in Hood River, Ore.

The attendants were Matt and Mary Letzring, and their daughters, Mariah and Dominique, filled the roles of flower girl, photographer and flower arranger. Music was provided on the flute by Mary.

The couple eloped from Maui to Kauai and it was the 76th anniversary of the elopement of Cliff's late grandparents Silvie and Elizabeth Cook, who were married for 62 years.
