Moon and Raye Mullin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in June, in conjunction with the wedding of their grand-daughter Samantha.
The couple moved from Texas to Kenai in 1960 with three children, Roy, 11, Doneva, 8, and Mickey, 5.
Although they have enjoyed extensive traveling abroad, Alaska is "home" where hunting, fishing and flying rule.
The Mullins enjoy a peaceful lifestyle in Kasilof, with the exception of July -- when the pace picks up for catching salmon on the F/V Moonray.
Extended family now includes 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
