Chambers to host state budget reps

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will host members of Gov. Frank Murkowski's budget team at its noon luncheon today at the Riverside House in Soldotna. The meeting is open to the public. For more information, call 262-9814.

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce also will host a commissioner of Murkowski's budget committee at a noon luncheon meeting Thursday at Paradisos in Kenai. Topics of discussion will include the longevity bonus and gaming. Cost of the luncheon is $10.50. For more information, call 283-7989.

PFLAG to meet tonight

Bagley to address Kenai chamber

Workshop to explore business funding sources

The Small Business Development Center will sponsor a workshop, "Finding the Money: Strategies and Sources of Capital," from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in Red Diamond Center, Suite 16. Topics will include lender qualifications, applicant qualifications and the application process for new financing programs. Historical society to discuss village excavation

The Kasilof Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the McLane Center. A member of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe will speak on the excavation of the old Kalifornsky Village. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 262-2439.

Spaghetti feed planned

A spaghetti feed to raise funds for the Sterling Senior Van Fund will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sterling Senior Center. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 3 through 12 and $30 per family. For more information, call 262-6808.

Wolf to speak at town hall meeting

Rep. Kelly Wolf will speak at a town hall meeting from 10 a.m. to noon April 19 at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association Building on Kalifornsky Beach Road. All questions and comments from the public are welcome and will be shared with legislative members of the Kenai Peninsula-Kodiak caucus.
