At the last town hall meeting on March 13, held by Rep. Kelly Wolf, there was a considerable amount of time discussing the funding of K-12 and the university. Several members of our community asked about educational funding. Rep. Kelly Wolf displayed a good knowledge of the state's financial condition and the needs of the borough and the school board. There were several financial issues that needed to be decided by the Senate and the administration before anyone could firmly predict the funding for our schools. I, for one, appreciate the time and effort Rep. Wolf is spending on understanding, communicating and working on our community issues.
As for the guide who tried to distract the community's attention away from Kenai River Sport Association's alleged illegal activities to serve his own agenda, does precious little to support a hard-working state representative that is trying to secure funding for our schools.
