Baldrick's team says thanks

Posted: Friday, April 08, 2011

The organizers of this year's St. Baldrick's event to raise money for childhood cancer research would like to recognize and thank the entire community for its generous support of this most important cause. Without you, we would not have been able to send approximately $29,000 to childhood cancer researchers so that someday cures can be found. The organizers wish to especially thank Joey Yurkowski (honored child-cancer survivor) and his mom Laura; John and Dannette Howland, Marcus Yamada and family; all of our shavees, all of our stylists, all of our volunteers and all of our donors, including Aaron Swanson with Residential Mortgage, the Soldotna Police Department, the Great Fools of Fire, Central Emergency Services, Central Peninsula Hospital, Davis & Son's BBQ, KSRM Radio Group, the Kenai River Brown Bears, Phormations, Merrill Sikorski, Redoubt Reporter, Peninsula Clarion, The Fitness Place, Sweeney's, McDonald's, Soldotna Safeway, Angie Brennan, Air Liquid, Stanley Ford, Peninsula Scrub Shop, Carlene's Acupuncture, Cold Stone, Pye Wackets, Auto Spa, Dave Edwards-Smith, River City Books, The Duck Inn, Marion's Plan & Plant, Senator Mark Begich, IGA, Fred Meyer, St Elias, Vaughns Mini Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, and Soldotna High School.

Together we can fight childhood cancer. See you next year.
