'Ochen bolshoe spasibo' means thanks

Posted: Friday, April 08, 2011

I would like to thank Victoria Trujillo, Svetlana Johnson, Natasha Weissenberg, and Olga Weissenberg for helping me prepare for the ACTR Olympiada of Spoken Russian in Anchorage. Because of their help I received a gold medal in Russian Level 2. I also had the highest score for everyone competing in the Level 2. Thank you so much for your endless hours of tutoring. You never minded coming in after school, during school, and letting me come into your homes to prepare.

I would like to give a ochen bolshoe spasibo (very big thank you in Russian) to Gregory Weiseenberg, my Russian teacher. You put up with me and helped me prepare for the competition all year. I greatly appreciate that you took me this year being that I was the only competitor.
