Ms. Malchoff was born Jan. 1, 1933, in Seldovia. She was raised and spent her whole life in Port Graham. She worked as a seasonal cannery worker in Port Graham, Windy Bay, Cordova and Uganik Bay. She retired in 1999.

"Her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and friends loved her dearly. She entertained family and friends with her wholesome understanding, humor and love for cooking. She vacationed in the Prince William Sound during the summers with her daughter and grandchildren," her family said.
