Hero of the Week Woman thanks teen ATV angel

Posted: Monday, April 09, 2007

If you think you’re tired of the noise, dust, and sometimes crazy driving by young people on ATV’s, think again.

I live in Sterling, and have personally complained about these things, until yesterday (April 3), when my car broke down on the Sterling Highway. As I stood helplessly next to my minivan, the one time I left my phone at home, I watched car after car drive on past.

Finally a young man on a fourwheeler came off the trail, pulled a cell phone out of his pocket, helped me call for a tow and even waited with me until a nice couple stopped to give me a ride home.

I was so glad you stopped, and I forgot to get your name.

So the next time people want to complain about teenagers in our community, they may want to think again. Thank you.
