Theodore P. Heus, of Kenai, was named to the fall semester dean's list at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. Students must achieve a 3.5 to 3.69 grade point average to be listed.
Sophomore to attend national writing conference
Shannon Christenson, of Soldotna, has been selected to attend a national undergraduate writing and literature conference at Weber State College in Utah. She is currently a sophomore at Ricks College and is the daughter of Kent and Lorraine Christenson.

ITSN Lance K. Graveley recently graduated from Service School Command in Great Lakes, Ill., as a Radioman Class A Specialist in the United States Navy.
He is assigned to the destroyer USS Stethem stationed in San Diego.
Graveley is a graduate of Kenai Central High School and the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Skyview sophomore chosen
for international competition

Trisha Winger, a sophomore at Skyview High School, recently participated in the state High School Cheerleading Competition. Her squad placed third and she won the Junior Individual competition. With that win came a bid for a spot on Team USA at Planet Spirit competition in July in Norwich, England.
