The Peninsula Oilers recently announced that three players -- Taylor Garrison, Mike Miller and Patrick Wisdom -- are returning from the 2010 season.
Garrison, a junior pitcher from California State University, Fresno, appeared in 17 games for the Oilers last summer, striking out 30 in 32 1-3 innings of work. He was 2-1 with a 1.67 ERA.
Miller is a redshirt junior shortstop at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He played in 24 games for the Oilers last summer, finishing with a batting average of .250. Miller will serve as a utility infielder this summer and the Oilers will count on his great defense.
Wisdom is a sophomore from St. Mary's College of California in Moraga, Calif. He played in 44 games for the Oilers and hit seven home runs, which led the Alaska Baseball League. His 24 RBIs were tied for first on the team. Wisdom, who also had six doubles, hit .229. He will play first base and third base for the Oilers and hit in the middle of the lineup.
