High schools hold dance gala

The annual mass dance concert will be Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Soldotna High School Auditorium. The event features dance troupes from Nikiski, Kenai Central, Skyview and Soldotna high schools, plus a guest appearance by the Tinikling Dancers from North Star Elementary School. Admission is $5 per person.

ASSE sponsors environmental specialist

The Kenai Section of the American Society of Safety Engineers is sponsoring a business luncheon today at noon at Paradisos Restaurant in Kenai. The guest speaker will be Jim Butler, an attorney specializing in environmental law. He will discuss the legal liability of the safety professional and other related topics.

Kasilof historians plan meeting

The Kasilof Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at Tustumena Elementary School on Thursday. The business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., and a program on fox farming will begin at 8 p.m. It is open to the public. For more information, call 262-2439.

North chamber to meet Thursday

The North Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will hold its weekly lunch meeting at noon Thursday at the Lighthouse Inn. Tami Didwell and Marilyn Dimmick of the Kenai Care Center will speak. It is open to the public.

Monthly meeting set for motocrossers

The Kenai Peninsula Racing Lions is holding its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Riverside House in Soldotna. The group will discuss preparation for the upcoming motocross season. For more information, call 262-5106.
