Arts take over at KPC

Career exploration seminar

The career exploration seminar will be Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Soldotna campus in room 124. Speakers will cover career investigation strategies, jobs of the future, resume writing, interviewing skills and internships. All seminars are free and no preregistration is required. Kenai Peninsula College Art Gallery

The annual KPC student art show will run through May 1. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. The show will feature various art media of students attending KPC.

Opera sampler

The KPC multicultural consortium will sponsor a free opera sampler performance by the Anchorage Opera Theatre April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Brockel Building.

Sunday Showcase

The annual KPC Sunday Showcase Celebration of the Arts will feature a student art show in the KPC gallery, wildlife art prints by Boyd Shaffer and the recreation of an old time radio show by the Kenai Peninsula College Community Chorus. The show will be at 3 p.m. April 22 in the Brockel Building with a reception following the celebration.
