ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A 27-year-old Sterling man was in custody Wednesday following his arrest after allegedly robbing a home with a another man.
Alaska State Troopers said Dan Marsters was arrested on charges of robbery in the second degree, burglary in the first degree, two counts of theft in the second degree and three counts of assault in the fourth degree.
Joey Girves, 33, of Sterling called troopers at about 5 a.m. Tuesday and reported that he was at the Sterling home of Herbert Aldridge, 48, that morning when two men forced their way in and robbed him and Aldridge of cash and a firearm.
Troopers said Girves briefly chased the suspects' car before losing sight of it.
While a trooper was interviewing Girves and Aldridge, a second trooper spotted the suspects' car and pulled it over. The driver was identified as Marsters, who was taken to Wildwood Pre-Trial Facility. The firearm and the cash were recovered.
Troopers were continuing to investigate the identity of the second suspect.
