A community Palm Sunday service will be conducted by the Kenai Peninsula Minist-erial Association at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Renee C. Henderson Auditorium at Kenai Central High School.
Churches from Nikiski, Kenai, Soldotna, Sterling and Kasilof will gather in song and prayer for the community, the nation and the world, according to Rick Cupp, minister at Kenai Fellowship Church.
"Our theme is Be Thou my vision,'" said Cupp, who added that this year's community service is timely with relation to the war in Iraq.
Jim Duncan, pastor of the Peninsula Christian Center, will introduce the programs of six ministers who will lead the congregation in prayer. Stephen Brown, pastor of the Kenai New Life Assembly of God, will lead the group in song.
Cupp said everyone is welcome to attend the service, which is planned to last one hour to one hour and 15 minutes.
