ANGDA CEO to speak today

Alaska Natural Gas Development Authority's CEO, Harold Heinze, will be the featured speaker at the Kenai Peninsula Builders Association's April general membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at Mykel's Restaurant in Soldotna.

Kasilof River dunes meeting today

A public meeting regarding Kasilof River dunes protection will be held today at 6:30 p.m. at Tustumena Elementary School. Options for reducing damage to dunes and wildlife habitat at the mouth of the Kasilof River will be discussed. Contact Catherine Cassidy at 262-6189 for more information.

National Library Week at the Soldotna Public Library coming soon

The Soldotna Public Library is celebrating National Library Week April 11 to 17 by offering patrons amnesty (no fines charged) on any overdue items returned that week, hosting a prize drawing, a story time, a program by Alaska's Writer Laureate, Nancy Lord, and promoting membership in the Friends of the Joyce K. Tax day tea party slated

The Kenai Peninsula Tea Party Patriots will be gathering at the "Y" in Soldotna on tax day, April 15, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to share views and express distaste for the goings on in Washington D.C.

4-H archery leader training planned

4-H archery leader instruction will be held in the evening Friday and Saturday. Instructors from Bethel and the Mat-Su Valley will be training adults to teach archery to 4-H members. If you are interested, call 262-5824.

Participants will be required to enroll as 4-H leaders and pass a background check.
