Monthly meeting today

The Kenai Multiple Sclerosis Self-Help Group's monthly meeting is today from noon to 2 p.m. in the Augustine Room of Central Peninsula General Hospital. The guest speaker will be Brenda Randall, coordinator of the state MS Self-Help Group. Lunch will be courtesy of McDonald's.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 20 of Kenai is hosting a Senior Easter dinner today at 5 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on Cook Street. All senior citizens are invited to attend.

Farewell potluck today

Skyview High School will be holding a final potluck dinner for the members of Magadan School No. 14 of Russia. The potluck will be held at 6 p.m. today in the Skyview commons.

The public is welcome to attend the event and is asked to bring a dish or a salad. After-dinner activities include Russian and Spanish dancing and Russian and English singing.

After hours celebration today

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an After Hours and grand opening celebration at Peninsula Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic today from 6 to 8 p.m. The clinic is located in front of the Kenai Senior Center on the Kenai Spur Highway.

Volunteer appreciation to be held

The Kenai Peninsula United Way Board of Directors and 2000 Campaign Chair Bob Favretto will hold a volunteer appreciation reception today at Kenai Chrysler Center from 6 to 8 p.m.

Homer gardeners to present slide show

Central Peninsula Master Gardeners presents Alaska Hardy Perennials with Rita Jo Shoultz in the Fritz Creek Garden Nursery in Homer today at 7 p.m.

A $2 donation is requested at the door, and refreshments will be available.

Bake sale Saturday

A bake sale for the Special Olympics will be Saturday in Safeway from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All proceeds go to the benefit of Kenai Peninsula Special Olympics athletes.

Bridges board of directors to meet Saturday

The Bridges Community Resource Network will hold its regular board of directors meeting Saturday at 10 a.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Arctic Young Marines to sell eggs

The Arctic Young Marines will conduct an egg sale Saturday. The Young Marines will be walking through various neighborhoods selling eggs.

Small business workshop slated

The Kenai Peninsula Small Business Development Center will be hosting a workshop entitled "Personnel Practices that Work," April 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Red Diamond Center. There is a $35 fee.
