Easter cantata to be performed Sunday

The Star of the North Lutheran Church choir will present "No Greater Love," an Easter cantata, at 11 a.m. Sunday. The church is in Kenai at 216 Forest Drive.

Easter Sunday was March 31, but the Easter season continues for several weeks beyond this one special day. To celebrate the continuing Easter season, the choir will present the cantata during the regular worship hour.

"The greatest and most indispensable ingredient in all the universe is love. The greatest single fact in all human history is Calvary, where God's 'no greater love' for mankind was profoundly and eloquently expressed in the vicarious death of His son. What other here has inspired more music, poetry, painting or other creative art than that of God's love for a wandering world," John Peterson wrote in the preface to the cantata.
