Grant to mission appreciated
We at Friendship Mission acknowledge and thank Wal-mart Foundation for the $2,000 grant that was given to the Mission at the grand opening of the new Kenai Walmart store. These funds will be used as the Board feels they are most needed. We also want to thank Walmart for the employment opportunities that have been made available through the opening of their store. Two of our residents have gotten jobs at the store. This will eventually make it possible for them to get a place of their own and make a better live for themselves.

What's even worse than going to look for bread and finding laundry soap, is to go to the produce section and find the deli.
