ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A man was being held Wednesday on charges that he sexually abused two girls.

Bernard Bland Rapp, 32, of Anchorage was charged with four counts of sexually abusing a minor and one count of indecent exposure. He was being held at the Cook Inlet Pretrial Facility.

A 12-year-old girl, who is friends with Rapp's daughter, said she was on a sleepover when Rapp sexually assaulted her. On another occasion, the girl told police Rapp put on a pornographic movie and began masturbating while wearing red thong underwear.

A 9-year-old girl told police that Rapp stuck his hand down her shirt and reached inside her underwear. She also said Rapp's daughter had said that he ''touched her like really sick and kissed her,'' according to court documents.

Police said a search of Rapp's trailer turned up a pair of men's red panties, pornographic books, pornographic videotapes, and other items.

Rapp denied sexually assaulting the children. He said he had never viewed the videotapes in his home and that the books belonged to his ex-girlfriend.
