Christian women's club to meet Friday

The Kenai-Soldotna Christian Women's Club will meet for lunch at the Old Town Village Restaurant in Kenai on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Chicken is on at Kenai Eagles

The Kenai Eagles will host a chicken dinner Friday at 6:30 p.m. The meal also comes with mashed potatoes, gravy and biscuits. The cost is $6.50 with proceeds going to the kitchen fund.

United Way seeks volunteers

The Kenai Peninsula United Way is currently seeking volunteers that would be interested in dedicating one day of their time toward the upcoming allocations review process on May 4 at the Borough Building in Soldotna.

The Allocations Review Process is the annual evaluation for distribution of funds toward the 27 area United Way agencies.

Craft Fair Saturday

Soldotna Community Schools and Skyview National Honor Society present its annual Make-It and Take-It Craft Fair at Soldotna Middle School.

The time listed in the Winter-Spring 2000 Community School brochure was incorrect -- the correct time is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Soldotna Middle School.

Softball clinic set for Saturday

The Kenai Parks and Recreation Department and the Kenai Little League Association are co-sponsoring a softball skills clinic for kids ages 7 to 12.

The cost is $3 per child.

The clinic will be held at the Kenai Recreation Center at 10 a.m. for kids 7 to 9, and at noon for those 10 to 12.

Crohns, colitis support group to meet Tuesday

The Crohns and colitis support group meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Family Recovery Room 2 at Central Peninsula General Hospital.
