Soldotna community enjoys family-friendly day of science

Posted: Wednesday, April 14, 2004

Soldotna Community Schools and Redoubt Elementary send a big thanks to Unocal and Mr. Allan Miller for their help with our recent Science Festival.

Redoubt students were able to attend a hands-on assembly during the school day, presented by the Imaginarium. The Soldotna and Kenai Boys and Girls Clubs experienced the Imaginarium science activities, exhibits and demonstrations as well as a presentation by Mr. Miller, a NASA Educator Astronaut Finalist.

In the evening, the Soldotna community children and adults stopped by to enjoy family-friendly science experiments and Mr. Miller's NASA presentation.

Our appreciation to Unocal and Mr. Miller for bringing an exciting day of science to the Soldotna community.

Rosie Reeder, director, Soldotna Community Schools
