Former Kenai resident Doris M. Haskell died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. She was 61.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Braun Everiss Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian. Mich. The Rev. Reese Sharai will officiate. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
An Alaska Native, Mrs. Haskell was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Kenai, to Paul and Elizabeth (Oskolkoff) Wilson.
Mrs. Haskell was a member of the First United Methodist Church, as well as Alcoholics Anonymous.
"Doris loved people and shared this love by working in the home health care industry. Family was a priority for her. Always active with her grandchildren, she attended many of their sporting events. She also loved to cook," her family said.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rudy Wilson.
She is survived by her former husband, Larre Haskell of Adrian, Mich.; their children, Gregory Haskell and his wife, Sydney, of Merritt Island, Fla., and Kelle Carver and her husband, Rodney, of Tecumseh, Mich.; grandchildren, Shane Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Zachary Carver, Elizabeth Cutler, Aaron Sincoski and Christopher Elliott and his wife, Sarah; brothers, Paul and Robert Wilson; and sisters, Katherine "Dolly" Horning, Julia Carson, Esther Segura and Dorothy "Dottie" Lecceardone.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her family.
