Former Kasilof resident Martha Yancy died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, in Mountain Home, Idaho. She was 78.
Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 30., at Mountain Home Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Kerrville, Texas, to Levi and Lillian Mogford. She married Roy Yancy in Texas. She was a cook for UNM and Osmar’s Ocean Specialties in Kasilof.
Mrs. Yancy was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father and brother, Nolan.
She is survived by her sons, Duane Yancy, Martin Yancy and Bryce Yancy; daughter, Janis Lesperance; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Rost Funeral Home in Idaho.
