Response too slow

Posted: Friday, April 16, 2010

I would like to talk about the fact that when one of our elderly passed away her husband was left for 3 hours with her until they showed up to do what needed to be done. I understand that there are steps and rules that have to be followed when someone passes however, that is totally ridiculous.

We rececently had an emergency services station put into our community. It is approximately a few miles from where this older lady passed. What I and I am sure most of the community would like to know where were they when all this happened? Why was he made to sit for 3 hours with his dead wife when they are right down the road? These are questions that we all have. My father passed away years ago from cancer and we were not made to wait for 3 hours. This is just not right and I feel as a community that we have a right to know this.
