Support helps raise awareness of autism

Posted: Friday, April 16, 2010

I would like to say a very big thank you to all the people and businesses that donated and came to the 2nd Annual Autism Awareness Walk! The three walks that took place in Fairbanks, Soldotna, and Juneau were a success and I fully believe that it is due to our amazing communities.

Here is a list of businesses that helped make this year's walk amazing!

Davis Block and Concrete, Big G Electric, First National Bank, McLane Consulting, Soldotna Professional Pharmacy, Alaska Roadbuilders, Impact Area, Gear gifts and more, Cornerstone Books, Peninsula Medical Cosmetics, AK rays, Blockbuster, Orca, Harley Davidson, Guff signs, Renew Salon, Fred Meyer, BOLD, Chez Moi, Gluten Free Store, Northstar Therapy, Eagles and a special thanks to Monica at Fine Thyme Caf for donating food for the event.

It is also important to note that autism is a disability that affects people year round. Even though April is almost done Autism Society of America is working in our communities to help awareness building and to get needed trainings.

If you are interested in donating you can find information at Thank you for the support!
