ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A moderate earthquake struck near Talkeetna Wednesday evening and was strongly felt in the town.
The quake occurred at 5:06 p.m. and had a preliminary magnitude of 4.4, according to the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer. It was centered 10 miles east of Talkeetna and was 4 miles deep, the tsunami warning center said.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
