ANCHORAGE (AP) An autopsy shows that one of the young Anchorage brothers who were missing two weeks had accidentally drowned in the partially frozen pond where their bodies were found.
The autopsy of 8-year-old Malcolm Johnson was released to the family Thursday, said Rex Butler, the family's attorney. The autopsy for Isaiah, 5, is not yet complete, according to the State Medical Examiners Office.
The brothers vanished from outside their home on March 10.
A woman walking her dog found a child's sneaker in the pond about half a mile from Malcolm and Isaiah's house. The find led police to the boys' bodies on March 25.
The pond was searched the day the young brothers disappeared but was never dredged.
