Volunteers appreciated

Posted: Wednesday, April 18, 2007

This week, April 15 through 21, is National Volunteer Week. The KPC/ProLiteracy America Literacy Program would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers who make this program possible here on the peninsula.

When you see these folks in the community, please thank them for investing their time helping community members, young and old, who are working to improve their basic skills. Members of the Foster Grandparent Program who help tutor students in our local schools are Sandra Bell, Delores Benner, Janet Brookman, Kathryn MacLeod, John McCarthy, Estelle Parks and Charlotte Rosin. Our community volunteers are Marilyn Albright, Mary Anderson, Harrison Deveer, Connie Goltz, Dana Hallet, Jake Harris, Larry Hull, Vanessa Johnson, Tywla Mundy, Terrance VanWinkle and John Webster.
