Landowner wants North Road extended

Posted: Friday, April 18, 2008

Having been a landowner in Alaska's North Kenai for a number of years, I feel that there are numerous families that would appreciate the northern extension of the Kenai Spur Highway be completed as it has been promised for over 15 years.

This road was going to be finished years ago. Over the years, borough mayors have come and gone.

For this reason or that, years and years have been added to the time frame of the completion of this road.

The owners of these properties across northern Kenai are aging, as all of us are. They have a right to have this road, at least roughly completed.

On top of this, it would bring more dollars to Kenai and the surrounding towns.
