Greetings from Kasilof.
The sun has worked its magic and upon close inspection of the ground, one can see the tender cotyledons of new green growth. Sure, most early risers would be weeds but I'm not complaining.
Our fine weather has inspired many to get out in it, whether biking, clamming, wheeling, walking or working in the yard to spruce things up. Folks have been soaking up the rays.
Another sure sign that spring has sprung here on the Kenai is the return of the sandhill cranes. Sunday afternoon I was treated to the sight of dozens circling high on thermals above Kasilof.
