Contributions help school skate toward goal

Posted: Thursday, April 19, 2007

Educating today’s youth about the importance of lifelong physical fitness is something that we take a tremendous amount of pride in at Kenai Middle School.

While we place a great deal of emphasis on promoting lifelong activities within our physical education classes, we also realize that it takes the help of parents, community members and our local businesses to fully educate our students.

Over the course of the past two years, we have been working toward our goal of purchasing inline skates for use in our physical education classes. We would have never been able to reach our goal without the financial assistance and generosity of the following businesses: Coca Cola of Alaska, Central Peninsula Hospital, Arby’s, Peak Oilfield Services, Soldotna Professional Pharmacy, Peninsula Internal Medicine and Spenard Builders Supply.

We are very fortunate to live in a community that believes in educating the whole child. We can’t thank these local businesses enough for their contributions toward that goal.
