“Wonderful Spring Coming to Alaska”

Posted: Thursday, April 19, 2007

The snow clouds have parted.

Azure blue sky above.

The earth still covered with snow.

Tall pines sway gently in the wind.

Suddenly, the air is filled with

Sweet music sounds by native songbirds.

Pervading the air is that special perfume of nature,

So crisps and so sweet.

Deep breathing becomes joyous!

Oh what a great feeling to know that after

A long dark winter Wonderful Spring will always follow.

Because only spring has that power

To awaken all that slumbered under ice and snow.

Spring will break away the white coverings,

And in its place

Pleasing colors of green will take over like magic.

Flowers of all shades will be embraced with

pleasure and tender care applied.
