Time is set aside each year to focus on students' missions activities as they reach out to communities around the world. This year's Missions Emphasis Week is from today to April 29. Students will share their experiences. One team that recently returned from China expressed that helping to build a Habitat for Humanity house alongside other international students and local village people was a life-changing experience. The students said the Chinese people were always helpful and patient, aimed to please and had a great respect for others — especially elders. They are quieter than most Americans, and have a better work ethic — no slacking. Another team returning from Belize will share their cultural experiences also. The public is invited.

Congratulations to Bruce Gabriel for being chosen the State 2A Basketball Coach of the Year.

Students of the Week are Jiaboa Leaf, Keenan Foster, Riley Smithwick, Nicole Moffis, Janice Scritchfield, Hannah Kjeldson, Anna Nisler, Stephen Barlow, and Owen Phillips.

The first high school track meet is Friday at Skyview High School.

Preschool and kindergarten visitation is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. April 29. Call 262-5101 to attend.

There will be no school Friday.
