Students in Mr. Carey's U.S. history classes are studying the period of the Vietnam War, Civil Rights, Watergate and Woodstock. Student are encouraged to do an interview with their parents regarding this time period.

U.S. history students also are preparing for the sixth-annual veterans appreciation dinner on May 13 at the Soldotna Sports Center from 4 to 7 p.m. This dinner is open to all veterans and their families and is free.

The soccer team has a game Thursday against Soldotna High and two games in Mat-Su Valley Friday and Saturday

Skyview will host its ninth annual Skyview Invite Track meet at 2 p.m. Friday at 10 a.m. Saturday. Twenty-two schools will compete.

Talent show results: Placing first in the group competition was Stevie Pyfer, Katie and Amber Dockery, Karalee Martin, Derek Samora, Jake Jarson and Alissa Seely-Kip. Placing first in solo competition was Sean Mallette. Placing first in the duet was Katie Thornton and Kelsey Shields.
