Sterling Elementary

Posted: Wednesday, April 20, 2005

Congratulations to students who competed in the borough forensics tournament. The Sterling school and community are proud of all of you.

The school staff thanks Mr. Audette for his work with the kindergarten through third-grade students as they prepared for their spring performance last week.

The school welcomes Mike Morgan to the school as an Artist in Residence, funded by matching funds from the Sterling PTA and the Alaska State Council on the Arts. Mr. Morgan will work with students until April 29.

The school will hold a bus evacuation drill at 3:30 p.m. today. April 29 will be Hawaiian Day, and treats will be sponsored by PTA for the class with the most participating students. Students in Ms. Hoffman's class and in Mr. Miller's class are getting ready for their trips to Otter Cove the first week in May. The next PTA meeting will be May 5, and everyone is invited to come help plan for the Back to School night to be held this fall.
