National Volunteer Week is this week. The school has scheduled a Dessert Social today during the noon hour in the library to honor those adults who have donated their time this year.

The school's annual Sea Week begins Monday. Daily trivia questions will be posed via the intercom system initiated by each of the grade levels. The traditional mural of an aquarium adjacent to the gym entrance also will be on display.

Mrs. Knobf's sixth-grade class trekked to the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska this week to undertake their Mission to Mars. Many thanks to parent volunteers Judy Johnson, Lesley West, Debbie Pearson, Jerri Braun, Meg Porter and Brenda Furman for driving students to the site.

Mrs. Rolph's sixth-graders in the Quest program competed in Future Problem Solving event at Soldotna High earlier this week. School participants were David Bell, Wesley Matthews, Erik Skjold, Daniel Rozak and Jason Johnson. The awards ceremony for this competition takes place at 6 tonight at Soldotna High.
