The Alaska League of Women Voters would like to thank the following who spoke at this week’s conference hosted by the Central Peninsula League.
Legislative Ethics was discussed by Pete Sprague, past president of the Alaska Municipal League, and Joyce Anderson, the executive director of the Alaska Legislative Ethics Committee. Alyson Stogsdill discussed the host of services offered by the Legislative Information Office, and Whitney Brewster, director of Elections, did the same for the agency she represented. Soldotna Mayor Dave Carey gave the welcoming talk. These individuals along with the participants made for an enjoyable, informative weekend.
In addition, our thanks goes to those who donated to the “welcome packets,” Wells Fargo Bank, First National Bank, Central Peninsula General Hospital, Stub’s Office Supply, J-B Store N’Lok, Sweeney’s Clothing, Superior Electric Motor Services, Already Read Used Books, Soldotna Chamber of Commerce and Printer’s Ink.
