Conference set at Kalifonsky center

A Glory Fire Conference will be held at Kalifonsky Christian Center today through April 30. Morning meetings are at 10:30 and evening meetings are at 7.

Walter and Beverly Cowart from Kent, Wash., are the guest speakers. Both have ministered in the Philippines for several years. Renee Smith, "The Lightening Lady" from Lincolnton, Ga., also will share.

SolFirst sportsmen's banquet planned

This year's annual sportsmen's banquet will be April 28 at 7 p.m. at the church.

Gene Moe, who was attacked by a Kodiak brown bear, is the guest speaker. The banquet will feature door prizes of binoculars and knives, "wild Costcovian boar," trophies and an art auction. Tickets are limited.

Church plans meeting for women

The Kenai Christian Church will hold a spring conference for women May 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church. The workshops will include spiritual gifts, communication, facilitating Bible studies and many other things.

The registration fee is $10, including lunch and a choice of two workshops. For more information, call 283-4559.
