The junior high students are studying totem poles in their Alaska history class. Students have learned totem poles are both stories and symbols of the Native tribes. Each class is making their own totem pole to tell their own class story. The eighth-graders are including an eagle, a basketball and symbols to remind them of friends, knowledge and God. The seventh-graders' totem will feature a large mouth, symbolizing their fondness for talking and eating; a large X for X-Box; a snowboard; and a representation for God.

Students of the Week are Robbie Smithwick, Lauren Bauder, Kelsey Tachick, Hannah Selson, Kearstin Yarnes, Abbi Wosner, Chloe' Nelson, Chemaine Yarnes and Cole Nelson.
