Kenaitze Cuya Qyut'anen Head Start

Brenda Trefon of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe will visit Thursday.

The volunteer appreciation brunch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the Kenaitze Family House.

Head Start families will host a garage sale Saturday in the Family House.

Thanks to Fireweed Garden, the school's tulips are blooming. Students are learning about plants, stewardship and how to take care of the Earth.

"The Wise Little People of the Mouth of the River" Head Start is accepting applications for Kenai, Soldotna, Nikiski and K-Beach area preschoolers for the 2004-05 school year. The Kenaitze Head Start family development center provides early childhood development services, early literacy, The Fatherhood Project, family support referral services and nutritional, dental, mental and general health screenings for children. The program is open to children ages 3 and 4 from income-eligible families. For more information or an enrollment application, call 283-0707.
