Garage sale fundraiser today

The St. Francis By the Sea Episcopal Church will hold a garage sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday at the church at 110 S. Spruce St. in Kenai. Oversize items may be picked up by appointment. For more information, call 283-6040.

Banquet planned tonight

The annual Peninsula Christian Center sportsmen’s banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the center. Lifelong Alaskan Dale Anderson, owner-operator of Admiralty Tours, will be the speaker. Tickets are $10 per person and includes the meal and program. Call 262-7416 for more information.

Addictions group meets

Reformers Unanimous, a Christ-centered addictions program, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at the Immanuel Baptist Church. For more information, call 283-9361.

Baha’i classes set

Spiritual education classes for children ages 5 to 7 are held weekly at 10 a.m. Saturdays. A course titled “Reflections on the Life of the Spirit” will be held at the same time for adults and older youth. For location or more information, call 283-6650.

Christian center to host speaker

Peninsula Christian Center will host former North Kenai pastor Pat Donadio at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Donadio and his wife, Ruth, built Nikiski’s Aurora Heights Assembly of God (now known as Inlet Faith). Call 262-7416 for more information.

Guest to deliver special message

The United Methodist Church of the New Covenant in Kenai will have a guest filling its pulpit at 11 a.m. Sunday. Susie Smalley of the Soldotna United Methodist Church will bring the message, “Can You Hear Me Now?” Special music will be provided by Hayden Sterling. Randall Pippin will lead the children’s moment. The lay leaders will be Jim and Nedra Evenson.

Kenai Aglow meeting slated

Kenai Aglow will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at The Salvation Army Chapel, 201 N. Forest Drive in Kenai. The topic will be, “While in the process, lean on Jesus.”

Clothes available

Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. It is in the back of the parking lot of Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.

Soldotna Aglow to meet

Soldotna Day Aglow meets Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Peninsula Christian Center. It is located behind The Salvation Army. Baby-sitting is provided.
