The Third Annual Autism Awareness Walk was a huge success! There were over 200 people and we raised over $3,000. Every year we try to make it a bigger and better event and I am proud to say we have! This wouldn't have been possible without our many donors, sponsors, volunteers, agencies and community members who helped make this event such a success.
I would like to thank our donors and sponsors: Renewal Skin Care Studio, Auto Spa, Orca Theater, Buckets, Three Bears, Ninilchik Quilt Club, Trustworthy Hardware Store, Harley Davidson, Tim's Carpet Cleaning, Soldotna Fire Department, Fine Thyme, Bold, Sterling Happenings Day Care Center, Chez Moi, Fred Meyer, Davis Block, Alaska Roadbuilders, Soldotna Professional Pharmacy, First National Bank, EAGLES, Gluten Free Store, and North star Therapy. Thank you for the vendors who came to share information with the community.
Also, a big thank you to all the people who created teams, brought families, or just themselves and to those amazing people who stepped up and helped throughout the event a huge thank you. This event is a fundraiser for the Autism Society of Alaska. But, more importantly, it is a way to share information with the community about the disability.
A huge thank you for the amazing people in our community who make this a possible event.
