Celebrate the arts with KPC

Kenai Peninsula College's Art Student League will hold its annual Celebration of the Arts April 30 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Festivities include the closing reception of art student work held in the Gary Freeburg Art Gallery, ASLA T-shirt sales, art media demos by art students.

Come by and see demos in T-shirt design, Pastel painting, watercolor and more!

Sign up for Summer Drama Camps at Triumvirate Theatre

Registration is now open for the Triumvirate Theater's summer drama camps.

The Soldotna Drama Camp will offer three sessions this summer.

Session 1 will be held May 30 - June 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Triumvirate Theatre in the Peninsula Center Mall. This is a 3-week camp for grades 3rd & up. The production the children in the camp will be putting on is, "The Pirates of Penzance." Show dates will be June 17 & 18. Late pick-ups and early drop-offs can be accommodated.

Instructor: A.J. Seims - an accomplished actor, writer, and director from Wasilla.

Cost: $290.00 (We accept vouchers from the Connections & Galena programs.)

Session 2 will be held June 20 - July 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Triumvirate Theatre in the Peninsula Center Mall. This is a 3-week camp for grades 3rd & up. The production the children in the camp will be putting on is to be determined. Show dates will be July 8 & 9. Late pick-ups and early drop-offs can be accommodated.

Nikiski Drama Camp

The Nikiski Drama Camp will be held June 20 - July 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at Nikiski High School. This is a 2-week camp for grades 3rd & up. Show dates will be July 2. Late pick-ups and early drop-offs can be accommodated. This year's camp is generously sponsored by Arby's.

Cost: $99

Half price scholarships are available for the Nikiski Camp and will be awarded in May. To be eligible for a scholarship you must be registered for the camp.
