4-H Club recognizes its benefactors during National Volunteer Week

April 21-27 is National Volunteer Week. What an opportunity this is to say thank you to the many volunteers in our communities on the Kenai Peninsula who willingly and selflessly give their time and talent to help others!

One youth organization that relies on volunteers is 4-H. Without the parents, leaders, resource people and business people who support 4-H, the program could not continue to help and educate youth.

We would like to take advantage of this volunteer recognition week to say thank you to the many wonderful people who give so much to our young people and 4-H.

May your lives be enriched as you enrich others!

SoHi ski team says thanks to sponsors for successful season

The Soldotna High School Cross Country Ski Team and Booster Club would like to express their sincere appreciation to Tesoro, VFW Post 10046 and Agrium for their sponsorship of our team this year. And thank you to Safeway for giving us the opportunity to participate in their "School Spirit 2001" program. We had a great season, and also want to thank all of the parents and community for their support.
